Lava has officially announced its latest phablet the Iris 550Q, which packs a 5.5 niches IPS display with an 720p resolution and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 1 GB of RAM.
Lava Iris 550Q comes with Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS and it also includes a flip cover with the box for free. There’s only 4 GB internal memory available in the phablet but you can expand it with an microSD card slot allowing for up to 32 GB expansion, which is quite enough.
At the back of the phone, there’s an 8 MP camera with a BSI sensor that can record 1080p videos, and under the removable cover there’s a 2,600mAh battery which is capable of 10 hours of 2G talk time.
Lava launched this Iris 550Q in India on April 1st, 2014 and in major online stores in the country for Rs.13,000 ($217). So if you are planning to buy an budget phablet then it’s a good deal.
