According to an Korean report, Samsung latest launched smartphone Galaxy S5 enjoyed a bit success on its first day. Samsung latest flagship managed to set a new record for the company for launch day sales beating the achievement of its predecessor Galaxy S4 by over 30%.
In some of the European markets the sales of Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S5 have surpassed those of the Galaxy S4 more than twice, Samsung says. This is really a great achievement for the company as in places like Paris, Amsterdam and London hundreds of people had gathered in front of the Samsung flagship stores ahead of opening, waiting impatiently to get their hands on the latest Samsung’s flagship (Galaxy S5).
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S5 in over 125 countries including India on April, 11. This is the largest-scale launched Korean company has ever pulled. And the good news is that it will rollout to 25 more markets in the next few days bringing the total number to a round 150 markets or countries.
The SIM free Galaxy S5 priced start at $699 in the US and around $599 in most of Europe and Asia. Samsung is also partnering with a huge number of carriers, which offer the handset at a subsidized price.
